Investing in Therapy Means Investing in You
Therapy with me isn’t just about what happens in the 50 minutes we spend together—it’s about the care, attention, and depth I bring to our work. When you step into this space with me, you’re not just booking a session. You’re getting my full presence, my years of experience, and a deep commitment to helping you untangle the weight of growing up in a dysfunctional family.
I charge $230 per session because I take this work seriously, and I want to give you the best care possible. That means investing in my own learning and advanced training. It also means keeping my client list small, so I can show up for you—fully present, not tired, distracted or burnt out. If I didn’t take care of myself, I wouldn’t be able to take care of you.
But this isn’t just about me—it’s about something bigger. While I don’t offer therapy at a lower cost, I use the money from my practice to give back in other ways by helping people in need get essential resources or contributing to meaningful causes, I believe in making an impact beyond my private practice. This work is deeply personal to me, and part of my larger purpose is to extend healing in different ways.
Therapy is an investment—of time, energy, and resources. But more than that, it’s an investment in you—your healing and your growth. And you are absolutely worth that investment.
We can meet weekly (strongly preferred) or every other week, depending on your needs and goals. When you're ready, I’m here.
You are Worth it!
Heal. Grow. Thrive.

FAQs

As a trauma specialist, my approach is designed to help you heal from childhood trauma, set boundaries with your parents in a healthy way and move forward in peace. We start by exploring how your past affects your present, helping you gain insight into your struggles. I then guide you through re-parenting and inner child work, which fosters a deeper connection with yourself. Through Parts work, we make peace with your internal struggles—so you’re more integrated and ready for deeper healing. Finally, we use EMDR to reprocess the trauma that’s keeping you stuck and shift negative beliefs you’ve carried about yourself. This holistic approach empowers you to heal, grow, and create a life that feels aligned with who you truly are.

I go beyond superficial talk therapy. I believe in having structure in our sessions to ensure you're making progress and getting the quality care you deserve. In our first intake session, I’ll take the time to learn about you and see if we’re a good fit to work together. After that, we’ll dive into practical exercises like inner child work and parts work to help you heal. Once we begin EMDR, the sessions will shift to a structured approach, and we’ll continue with this consistency until the trauma feels resolved. In short, we’ll always pick up where we left off and move forward in a way that’s aligned with your goals, ensuring we're always working towards meaningful progress.

Therapy is definitely a place where you can share what’s on your mind and let out your emotions, but it’s so much more than just venting. Our time together is about creating real, lasting change. Rather than just talking through your struggles, we’ll work side by side to understand the deeper roots, challenge what holds you back, and build tools to help you move forward with confidence. Every session is designed with intention, so we’re always making progress toward your goals—whether that’s healing from past wounds, setting healthy boundaries, or creating a life that feels more connected to who you truly are.

I really encourage meeting once a week in the first 3-6 months of therapy to build momentum in your progress. It has so many benefits, like helping you make progress faster and getting unstuck more easily. That being said, I’m happy to work with you if you prefer to meet every other week. Just keep in mind that progress will feel slower, especially once we start with EMDR, as consistency is key in those stages.

I offer in person therapy for adults with childhood trauma and adult children navigating complex relationships with their parents in the Berkeley area of Denver CO. I also do video sessions online throughout Colorado.

Every person is different, so the length of the process really depends on you and your journey. However, if you're committed to the work and stay engaged, you'll likely see progress faster than you might expect. On average, clients who are fully invested in the process tend to complete therapy within 6 months to 2 years. Of course, it can vary based on the individual, the type of trauma, and how dedicated you are to your healing. Whatever your timeline, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

Deciding when it’s time to finish therapy is a very personal experience. For most of my clients, it’s a feeling of accomplishment and relief, like, “Okay, this feels complete.” You’ll notice that you're able to handle life’s challenges with the tools and skills you've gained, and you’ll feel stronger and more resilient. When you're able to navigate stressors with confidence that's often a good sign that you're ready to go on your own.
-
I totally understand that investing in therapy out of pocket can feel scary, especially when you’re wondering, “What if this doesn’t work?” Here’s what I want you to know: I’m deeply committed to your progress and growth. If at any point you feel like you’re not making the progress you hoped for, or if I notice we’re not moving forward as we should, we’ll take a step back and reassess. I’m always open to adjusting our approach to make sure it works for you. And if it turns out we need to explore other resources or referrals, I’m happy to help with that. My priority is making sure you’re getting the best care, and I’ll always be honest and transparent with you about the process. If it turns out we’re not the right fit, I’ll gladly refer you to someone who might be a better match for your needs.
-
I currently only offer individual therapy and workshops. However, if you’re looking for a couples therapist or a family therapist, I’d be happy to help you find someone who’s a better fit for that type of work.
-
If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled time or fail to show up at the appointment without notice (“no-show”), I will charge you for the full amount of the session.
-
I do not offer sliding scale or reduced fees. This decision is rooted in my commitment to supporting various causes that help people in need in other ways. While I understand that therapy can be an investment, my pricing structure allows me to continue supporting these important causes while providing the highest level of care to those I work with. If cost is a concern, I’d be happy to help you explore other options, such as using out-of-network benefits through Mentaya, which may offer some financial relief.
If you want emotional freedom, let`s talk about how we can make that happen.
